Ready to be impressed? Bamboo is a fast-growing grass, able to spurt over two feet in 24 hours. Bamboo forests generate 35% more oxygen than an equivalent stand of trees. They are also carbon-sequestering powerhouses. Bamboo is 20% harder than red oak, too.
